“ASL Portfolio” – Building the five C’s for lifelong self-assessment and continuous learning

Do you wonder if you are tapping into your full potential in developing your ASL skills? Do you want to pinpoint exactly which areas you need to focus your efforts to improve or expand your skills? In this weekend-long immersion program, you will have the opportunity to interact and build on your language competencies through fun-filled activities. You’ll use the “5 C” approach to cover the five top competencies which will allow you to live, learn, work and be active members of the communities. The 5 C’s that will guide our discussions are: Communication, Cultures, Comparisons, Connections and Communities. We will talk about topics revolving around you, your friends, people, cultures, places, things and events! Additionally, you will learn how to track your progress through a meaningful and lifelong self-assessment tool. To enrich your learning experience, be sure to collect data for your ASL portfolio including photographs and videos!
